Some jurisdictions have indicated that COVID-19 likely could be considered a disability/handicap (protected class per fair housing).

Note that the REALTOR® code of ethics on FAIR HOUSING goes further than statutory USA law and SC law on fair housing by adding sexual orientation and gender identity in service and employment protected classes. Yesterday, the US Supreme Court ruled that sexual orientation and gender identity fit into the term "sex" for employment discrimination protected classes in federal law (Title VII) so REALTOR® code of ethics and USA case law now match for employment issues on sexual orienation and gender identity.
